It’s really funny how life turns out. A few heartbreaks ago you were sure that that would be your last heartbreak. The pain of going through that one was enough to swear off love for the rest of your life. Then fate tempted you, almost hauntingly asking “Do you deserve love?”. You do, and they don’t. ‘Anyone who takes advantage of your love doesn’t deserve to be loved’, you thought. Well, maybe you’re right. Why should you love someone who doesn’t deserve to be loved anyway?

What are the prerequisites to loving? Does that person have to be of a certain look? Certain age? Has certain characteristics? Will they deserve love if they are emotionally mature? What if they are selfish? Would they still deserve love then?

Do you deserve love?

If the same yardstick was held against you, would you be deserving of love?

Everyone deserves love. Even the ‘undeserving’ ones. We are all little planets coursing through a little galaxy in a sea of galaxies. We are meant to collapse and wreck each other along the way. It's inevitable that we crash. It doesn't mean we stop our journey and orbit around without a purpose. Maybe we need a better navigation system to minimise our collision rate. Maybe we need a better recovery period to go along with that. After all, we can't stop bumping into each other because it helps the other planet to stay the course, and most of the time, it redirects us to our destined path.

Don’t be afraid of becoming a wreckage. You were a wreckage a few months ago, and here you are. Strong, brave and recovering. You have proven to yourself, time and time again, that you are one strong planet. No matter what happens, you are still coursing through life. If all you have tonight is a string of hope to hold on to, hang tight. The universe has its divine timing. It may or may not be true, but stay the course. You are being redirected to exactly where you're supposed to be.
